Speak to me
You cannot say we're through and not say why
Speak to me
What can I have done to make you cry?
Is it something I have said?
Something way above my head?
I have thought of everything
But I can see what's worrying you
Speak to me
Tell me, baby, what it is that's hurting you
Speak to me
Got to know if there is something I can do
Willingly I'd change my life
If it made you feel all right
Anything that I can do
To keep myself from hurting you, I'd do
Surely you can spare a moment
Just a word before you leave
Baby, just one little moment
Can't you see I'm begging, please?
Please
(Is it something I have said?
Something way above my head?
I have thought of everything
I can see what's worrying you)
Speak to me
Tell me, baby, what it is that's hurting you
Speak to me
I have to know if there is something I can do
Willingly I'd change my life
If it made you feel all right
Everything that I can do
To keep myself from hurting you, I'd do
Speak to me
Speak to me

Birtles
Sometimes I think I'm just a crazy cat,
running around don't know where it's at,
getting confused with my way of life,
that's when you say now you cut that jive.
Right now, right now.
You keep this flame I have alight in me,
and with this cat it's curiosity,
that keeps me hanging on night and day,
surprisingly again I hear you say.
Guess what, guess what.
Curiosity killed the cat,
I'm telling you I know where it's at,
love is everywhere to be found,
open your eyes and look around.
You You You ...
Yeah Yeah Yeah ...
Some things you say take me by surprise,
I like your style so give me your advice,
send me the truth and I'll always be,
singing your song with you in harmony.
That's right, that's right.
Curiosity killed the cat,
I'm telling you I know where it's at,
love is everywhere to be found,
open your eyes and look around.
Curiosity killed the cat,
I'm telling you I know where it's at,
love is everywhere to be found,
open your eyes and look around.
You You You
Yeah Yeah Yeah
Aah Aah Aah
Ooh Ooh Ooh

Shorrock
Looked at my window for Robinson Crusoe,
all I can see is Daniel Defoe,
everyone movin' in different directions,
I don't know which way I can go, tell me.
Now I like the blues and I like cathedrals,
I like the ladies' hands on my knee,
I don't care what you think of my music,
I sure care a lot what you think about me.
Meanwhile, the man inside me rages,
he's tryin' to be free, you know he tryin' to be released.
Meanwhile, clean out your cages,
the nearer you're gonna get, the closer you're gonna be,
the nearer you'll get, the closer you'll be,
the nearer you'll get, the closer you'll be,
the nearer you get ... the closer you'll be.
I like the blues, and I like the Beatles,
I like the ladies' hands on my knee,
I don't care what you think of my music,
I sure care a lot what you think about me.
Meanwhile, the man inside me rages,
he's trying to be free, you know he's tryin' to be released,
Meanwhile, clean out your cages,
the nearer you're gonna get, the closer you're gonna be,
the nearer you'll get, the closer you'll be,
the nearer you'll get, the closer you'll be,
the nearer you get ... the closer you'll be.

My Lady and me fought our way free from a shanty town,
parades of the blues were in every night,
we slipped out of town with the morning's light.
My Lady and me wanted to see if we'd settle down,
we're still on the make with a one man show,
gets harder to take everyday we go,
and when will it end, oh we just don't know.
A half dozen ladies tried to change my life-style,
promises and maybe, lead me astray, almost took me away.
And we're ready, and were waiting patiently,
for the time to come and be for my Lady and me.
Last night I had a thought of a house in the country,
but this day is just another with everything in front of me,
and my Lady doesn't like it, but she won't say nothin' to me,
we've been out here learnin' to love for a long time,
and we're ready, yes we're waiting patiently,
for the time to come and be for my Lady and me.
Oh, my Lady,
Oh, my Lady,
Oh, my Lady,
Oh, my Lady,
Oh, my Lady,
Oh, my Lady and me fought our way free from a shanty town,
parades of the blues were in every night,
we slipped out of town with the morning's light.
My Lady and me wanted to see if we'd settle down,
we're still on the make with a one man show,
gets harder to take everyday we go.
and when it will end, oh we just don't know.
and when it will end, oh we just don't know
and when it will end, oh my Lady.

And I know if I don't go I'll never ever be like a rolling stone,
I know I'm leaving here today,
there were times when I could have gone but didn't feel as ready as I should have done
I feel the time is right.
Now and then when I'm on my own and can't get used to being all this way from home,
my heart feels kinda sad,
it's a time when I'm not sure which way my crazy life is pulling me towards,
I know I'll always call your name.
I'll always call your name, I'll always call your name,
I'll always call your name, I'll always call your name.
Sometimes I get the feelin' I'm acting like a fool,
but then I get ambition and it tends to over-rule,
and even when I'm down the feelin's just the same,
ain't nothing gonna hurt me I'll always call your name, name, name, name, name,
And you've shown me good times and bad right from wrong whenever I confused my head,
I still regard you as my home,
just the same if fortune and fame should come along and take me down a lonely lane,
you know I'll always call your name.
I'll always call your name, I'll always call your name,
I'll always call your name, I'll always call your name.

Oh pretty Emma you sweet pretender,
why don't you stay around.
what's your dilemma won't you please tell me Emma,
I don't wanna lay you down,
sometimes it's hard to bend,
turn around you better start all over again.
(Please tell me Emma)
(Please tell me Emma)
Don't get excited you'll be invited,
wait for the wheel to turn,
don't be impatient you'll get liberated,
everybody's got to learn,
you have got to make a contribution,
then you can start to draw your own conclusion.
(Please tell me Emma)
(Please tell me Emma)
(Please tell me Emma)
(Please tell me Emma)
Emma, Emma, Emma I'm still waiting.
I'm still waiting - Emma.
Sometimes it's hard to bend,
turn around you'd better start all over again - all over again.
(Please tell me Emma)
(Please tell me Emma)
(Please tell me Emma)
(Please tell me Emma)
Emma - you'd better start relating (start relating).
Oh pretty Emma you sweet pretender,
why don't you stay around,
what's your dilemma won't you please tell me Emma,
I don't wanna lay you down,
sometimes it's hard to bend,
turn around you'd better start all over again.
(Please tell me Emma)

He just rode in from Nevada, as the leaves turned brown,
with the dust from off the desert, he drifted into town,
it was easy to see he was a gambler,
and the ladies all knew what he was after.
He was the man in black, nobody knew why he came,
the man in black, does anyone here know his name?
He made his bed down by the river, and there he spent his days,
one by one, all the ladies fell beneath his gaze,
they knew very well they were in danger,
but they were under the spell of the stranger.
He was the man in black, nobody knew why he came,
the man in black, does anyone here know his name?
Can you tell me where he's hiding?
and was there a young woman with him?
She is my daughter, I've come to fetch her,
and when I find her, I swear that man's gonna die.
He was the man in black, nobody knew why he came,
the man in black, does anyone here know his name?
He was the man in black, nobody knew why he came,
the man in black, does anyone here know his name?

Give me your hungry, give me your tired,
give me your homeless, give me your wanderers,
Statue of Liberty, standing in the harbour,
this is America, we try a little harder.
Oh, this is America, ah.
We set the standards and everyone will follow,
we've got our own values, but they're built on the dollar,
Statue of Liberty, standing in the harbour,
this is America, we try a little harder.
Oh, but now it's tumbling, fakin', quakin', tremblin' on its own foundation,
there's been so many warnings, too late the old lady's fallin',
the only thing to do is to get out of the way,
anything can happen in the U. S. of A.
ain't no use anymore in tryin' harder,
Statue of Liberty sinkin' in the harbour.
You can be a millionaire by steppin' on the needy,
words of equality, but they're written for the greedy,
Statue of Liberty, yeah, yeah, standing in the harbour,
this is America, we try a little harder.
Oh, this is America, ah.
Give me your hungry, give me your tired.
give me your homeless, give me your wanderers.
Give me your hungry, give me your tired.
give me your homeless, give me your wanderers.

I live alone, I'm little known,
I'm mad about my lady and glad about the way she loves me,
I go away, but on the day,
hate it to be leavin' and want just to be seeing my lady.
And when I come home, she gives me a feelin' so fine,
I'm still there locked in her mind, and I know it, know it,
she wants to be with me, I see it all in her eyes,
her feelings are hard to disguise, and I know it.
We talked about the world and wanted to share it someday,
but never had the chance cos circumstance took us away,
so many things on my mind left to say,
so many nights, and empty days.
Now I live alone, I'm little known,
I'm mad about my lady and sad about the way, I'm mad about my lady.
And when I come home, she gives me a feelin' so fine,
I'm still there locked in her mind, and I know it, know it,
she wants to be with me, I see it all in her eyes,
her feelings are hard to disguise, and I know it.
