Well I have been riding hard and wet, you never met one quite like me.No rules and no regrets but time is sneaking up you see. Can't party all night like I use too. Can it be I'm slowin' down? But friends are always here wanting to have a beer and take me right back out on the town.
Can you believe I feel out of place in a smoke filled honky-tonk?Well I can put on my game face after all that used to be my home. There's a girl sittin' in mylap. Now everybody is getting downand I'm thinking about just exactly how in the world I'm going to get out.
They all want to go wild and I want to go home, cause I've been there done that living life to fast way to much carrying on.I've walked on the wildside but they drag me along. They all want to go wild and I want to go home.
Now if my wife walked in right now there would be some hell to payand I've payed to much before so here is all I got to say,all the head and heart-ache aint worth it not to mention alimony.A man's got to be a fool sittin' here on a stool. She bring a whole lot back to me.
They all want to go wild and I want to go home.Yeah, I've been there done that, living life to fast, way to much carrying on.I've walked on the wildside but they drag me along. They all want to go wild and I want to go home. They all want to get wild and I just want to get home.
Yeah, I'll meet ya' later!

Well you head on out in the jungle
Lookin' for the girls to tumble
Up and down and all around the stage
But when the women start takin' their clothes off
Now we have got some strange laws
The most hypocritical thing around these days
Cause where I live in Tennessee
Why an auto parts calander
Hey thats pornography
But go right down the road, read what the sign says
Naked women and beer
We got it all in here
For your eyes and your ears
They show it all in the clear
Way up north and down south
Whoo, somebody shut my mouth
Now I ain't sayin' it's right
But I ain't sayin' it's wrong
But myself I enjoy the site
Of pretty girls dancin' to their songs
And it's been like that
Since way back when
From little Egypt to the Vegas strip
And when the music starts groovin'
And the girls start movin'
Ain't nothing gonna make 'em quit
Naked women and beer
We got it all in here
For your eyes and your ears
They show it all in the clear
Way up north and down south
Whoo, somebody shut my mouth
Nak-Nak-Nak-Nak-Nak-Naked women
Nak-Nak-Nak-Naked Women
Ice cold beer
It's all together in here
Naked women and beer
C'mon in out of the rain
We got the girls that will make you
Spend all your change
Naked women and beer

Cold heart moved in,
And the rain came down.
That's the way the weather's been,
Since she come around.
No the sun don't shine,
'Round here much anytime.
Old cabin fever,
Make you lose your mind.
Cause she's gone out again,
With her fair weather friends.
This thing is turnin' to pain,
This storm will put out the flame.
I like it when it's stormy,
Cause it reminds me of my life.
When lightning strikes without warning,
Like it has in my world once or twice.
I hear the thunder rolling,
Feel the icy, cold, hail storms.
I like it when it's stormy,
But I don't like bein' alone.
I like it when its stormy,
Blowin' a hard rain.
Lookin' out my window,
Wishin' you was comin' back again.
Oh the things that we do,
On a day like this,
I'm gonna find me somebody new,
That likes to hear the thunder,
Feel the icy, cold, hail storms.
I like it when it's stormy,
But I don't like bein' alone.

WHEN MY GUITAR STARTS TO RUMBLE
AND MY AMPLIFIER HUMS
ITS SO EASY MAKIN MUSIC

PROUD TO BE THATS HOW IM KNOWN
NOW MY DADDY HE WAS SOMEWHERE
BETWEEN GOD AND JOHN WAYNE
AND I REALIZED LONG AGO

AND YOU KNOW IM TELLIN THE TRUTH
CAUSE IM TALKIN BOUT MY OWN LIFE

WHEN MY GUITAR WANTS TO RUMBLE
AND MY AMPLIFIER HUMS
ITS EASY MAKIN MUSIC
ALL ABOUT MY FAMILY HOME
YEA THEY CALL ME SOUTHERN THUNDER
PROUD TO BE THATS HOW IM KNOWN
YEA THEY CALL ME SOUTHERN THUNDER
HEAR ME LONG BEFORE I COME
WHEN MY GUITAR STARTS TO RUMBLE
AND MY AMPLIFIER HUMS

OR SOUTHERN THUNDER JUST MIGHT ROLL AROUND
AND RAIN OUT YOUR PARADE
ITS SO EASY MAKIN MUSIC
ALL ABOUT MY FAMILY HOME
YEA THEY CALL ME SOUTHERN THUNDER
PROUD TO BE THATS HOW IM KNOWN
THERES A STORM FRONT BUILIDING UP
DOWN IN THE GULF OF MEXICO
SEEMS TO FOLLOW ME EVERYWHERE I GO
YEA THEY CALL ME SOUTHERN THUNDER

I've been to the Big Dance
Had my share of fame
Sometimes I just wanna go and
Get back in the game
Toss a few more touchdowns
Belt some more home runs
Instead of just sittin around
Thinkin 'bout all the fun
We had in those good ol days
But I know they're all gone
But I still got that spirit
And it just keeps hangin on
Sometimes I feel like Joe Montana
Just wanna go in one more game
I never thought I'd give a damn
When the time came to walk away
But I played hurt alot and I still won
Raced in the end zone steppin high
My worst injury is this misery
Just wanna win one one more time
No one's ever doubted
Or questioned my heart
Thank God I found a girl like you
To keep those worlds apart
So I'll just be her hero
And our kids will be the team
But some nights, I just can't sleep
And she knows it's that old dream
Sometimes I feel like Joe Montana
Just wanna go in one more game
I never thought I'd give a damn
When the time came to walk away
But I played hurt alot and I still won
Romped down the sideline every time
My worst injury are those memories
Just wanna win one one more time
My worst injury are those memories
Just wanna win one one more time
