"Rocks Of Deer Isle"
This rock is strong
And if I step right I won't fall right in
The sun has crossed behind
And it seems the cold won out
This log is strong
And it's covered in bright white sand
At low tide
You can see all the small creatures, oh my soul
I don't want anything more than these simpler sounds
Like moss on a rock on the ground
Stuck in my mind for all time
This rock is wide
And it looks like it's been here for a while
The sun is gone
But it seems the warmth has won for good
I don't need anything more than these endless waves
Baptized or drowned and then saved
From a life of the mind for all time
